We put on our Architect hats and began building our own cities by using recycled materials (cardboard, cups, bowls, marker lids and fruit baskets). Dipping the recycled materials in Tempera Paint, then printing them onto our papers. We discussed different shapes we can make with these simple objects to transform our buildings in to unique architecture treasures!!

First Grade: Architecture
In First Grade we are learning about Geometric Shapes and how they are found in Architecture. We looked at different types of buildings like the Rock and Roll hall of Fame, Epcot (Disney) and the Hogwarts Castle in Orlando studios. We compared the shapes found in the real Architecture to the work of Paul Klee.
